On 28 January, 2023, a minor Hindu girl named Toma Mondal was abducted by Muhammad Arafat, Sagar Seikh and their co-religionists. The 16 year-old is a resident of Aahuti under Agoiljhara Police station of Barishal district, Bangladesh.
According to the victim’s father, Ramkrishna Mondal, who is a carpenter by profession, the radical Islamists have taunted her in past. They also proposed a romantic relationship with their daughter but she refused, following that they kidnapped her.
