Sutan Lal Dewan killed over land dispute [Sindh, Pakistan]

Sutan Lal Dewan, a businessman was killed in a land dispute. He became the target of attack by some people of the Dahar community. The killing was not unforeseen, Sutan Lal had continuously warned that his life was in danger. The incident took place in the Daharki town of Ghotki district in Sindh province.

A video has also gone viral after the murder, in which Sutan Lal says that some people are threatening to kill him, cut off his limbs, and blind his eyes. “They are telling me to leave Pakistan. I belong to this country and would love to die here,” he said.

Reportedly, Sutan Lal Dewan had also written a letter to the Chief Justice of Pakistan Supreme Court and other officers asking them to give him justice and ask for his safety All those officers silently waited for the worst to happen in his life.

The DIG of police informed that the accused Bachal Dahar and his accomplices had been arrested. According to him, the incident took place on over two acres of land. On the other hand, some people have also claimed that Shaitan Lal was shot by some people even 8 years ago.

The then, PM of Pakistan, Imran Khan, also remained silent on the incident. Khel Das Kohistani, MLA of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), said that Hindus and Muslims have been living peacefully in Sindh for centuries, whereas reality says otherwise.
