Pratheeksha ( 22), pushed out of a running car by Arshad [ Kerala, India]

27 year old Arshad, pushed out a 22 year old Hindu girl, Pratheeksha whom he had preyed on, from a running car. The girl is seriously injured and is fighting for her life at Thrissur Medical College Hospital.

While traveling together, Arshad opened the door and pushed her out. She hung on to the door, but the Arshad did not want to stop. The incident happened near a vacant spot near Kunnamkulam. Arshad left her to die on the roadside and escaped from the crime scene.

Unable to see her children, she was suffering from mental problems. Police confirmed that the Arshad pushed Pratheeksha from the car following an argument about marriage. Arshad had made a marriage proposal to her but changed his mind.

She clung to the car, but Arshad allegedly drove it ahead and dragged her 100 meters. Prateeksha was found injured on the roadside in the morning and was shifted to the hospital. The first conclusion was that it was a car accident and that the vehicle that hit her did not stop.

The hit and run theory soon changed when the victim regained consciousness. The incident unfolded when the police arrived and took the woman’s statement.

The victim is a native of Ernakulam and was living away from her husband. She is also the mother to two children.

According to the police, Arshad a native of Guruvayur, had groomed her, and the two got close to each other. She abandoned her children and has been living with Arshad for the last two weeks.

Arshad was found in possession of MDMA drug. Based on her father’s accusation, police will also file a charge of attempted murder, according to the ACP, T.S. Sinoj.
