Muzafar grooms a 17-year-old girl [ Himachal Pradesh, India ]

A 17-year-old girl from Palampur, Himachal Pradesh filed a complaint against a Muslim man named Muzafar from Jammu. The victim further revealed that she is a victim of Love Jihad and has been molested and sexually abused.

According to the FIR, Muzafar had been harassing her for the past 2 years. The letter is written jointly on behalf of the victim and her father, and it emphasises that the police are putting psychological pressure on them to withdraw the FIR.

As per a media report, the case was originally brought to light via a post made by Rohit Singh’s X account a few days ago. In his article, Rohit emphasises that the investigating officer was apparently pressuring the girl and her parents to reopen the case by scaring them about the societal consequences the daughter would suffer as a result of the continuing prosecution. Rohit further stressed throughout our talk that the girl and her family were under enormous pressure from their immediate social circle to forget what occurred and move on.

He stressed that in addition to the fact that the police weren’t very helpful or considerate, the girl was essentially being humiliated in the community in the name of honour. The victim, the victim, was reportedly being transported by police officers for a medical examination in a public bus in full view of the public, despite having the option to travel in a private car. Rohit related other examples of police indifference in this regard.

The media report further stated that the victim initially connected with Muzafar around two to three years ago on social media, specifically Instagram. The man allegedly used a phoney Instagram ID to contact her while purporting to be a Hindu and using the surname “Thakur” as part of his identification. The victim managed to find out rather quickly that the man was Muslim. He acknowledged that he is a Muslim when she approached him and questioned him about his true identity. Then, since Muzafar was pretending to be someone else, the victim requested him to stop talking to her and to keep away.

According to reports, the actual harassment started after this. Muzafar began contacting the victim from several random numbers while using fictitious IDs to stalk her on Facebook and Instagram. Through social media, he also managed to compile a wealth of information on her friends, family, and other acquaintances, and he started to put pressure on her to speak with him.
