[ Reported as seen ]

Mohammad Faiz threatened to murder a minor Hindu girl and her family if she does not convert to Islam and marry him.

According to the victim’s father, his daughter has not been keeping well for around 2 years now, and in 2021 someone suggested that she be taken to the Ajmer Sharif dargah (Sufi shrine) to get ‘cured’.

This superstitious belief in magical healing powers of Sufi pirs or fakirs is quite widespread across the subcontinent, and dubious Muslim occult practitioners have also been known to assume the identity of Hindu tantriks and sadhus to peddle their wares.

In August 2021, the girl and her mother visited the controversial Ajmer dargah, which is where they met Faiz. He managed to get the girl’s number and  click some photos with her. Later, he started stalking her and morphed those photos to blackmail her. When the girl’s father asked him to stop harassing his girl, Faiz started threatening.

In May, the family lodged a complaint with Naubasta police station in Kanpur. However, the girl’s complain was soon taken back after Mohammad’s family convinced the victim’s family that he would not repeat the crime which they termed as a ‘mistake’.

Being yet another case of grooming Jihad the harassment continued even after the complaint was drawn.

Faiz started pressurizing the girl to convert and marry, and lately also threatened to kill the entire family and chop the minor into pieces like Shraddha Walkar was murdered by her live-in partner Aaftab Poonawalla.

On 25 November, he created a ruckus outside the girl’s house. Although, the police took action against it, yet, a permanent solution cannot be confirmed.
