Maa Kali and Shitala idols vandalized [ Pirojpur, Bangladesh ]

On August 6, Maa Kali and Maa Shitala idols were destroyed in a temple attack in the Nazirpur Upazila in the Pirojpur district of Bangladesh.

General Secretary of Nazirpur Upazila Hindu, Buddhist, Christian Oikya Parishad, Timir Halder said that “there is no permanent priest or servant of this temple as the puja is held once a year. In the morning, locals found the idols of Kali and Shitala Devi broken and left inside the temple.”

According to the locals, the temple vandalism took place at night. As there was no CCTV present nearby, the attackers couldn’t be identified.
