Jihadi Man Murders Hindu Woman After Four-Year Live-In Relationship, Dumps Body in Canal [Bengaluru, Karnataka]

In a shocking turn of events, a man named Alam, who was living in a live-in relationship with a woman named Pooja for four years, married her six months ago and subsequently murdered her. Alam, a father of four, had previously arranged a separate residence for Pooja and her three children in the Vijayanagar area. The horrific incident came to light after Pooja pressured Alam to live with her, leading to her brutal murder and the disposal of her body in the Gangnahar canal.

DCP City Rajesh Kumar reported that Alam was arrested after Pooja’s sister filed a complaint. Alam confessed to the crime during interrogation, revealing that he had strangled Pooja with her scarf inside a car and then disposed of her body in the canal near the village of Nagla Chona. Despite the confession, Pooja’s body has not yet been recovered, and police are conducting a search operation in the canal based on Alam’s indications.

Alam, originally from the village of Godi Dehat in Hapur, had been living with Pooja for four years before marrying her six months ago. Both Alam and Pooja were previously married; Alam has four children with his wife Sana, while Pooja has three children from her previous marriage to Titu. The relationship between Alam and Pooja was strained, with frequent disputes over Alam’s refusal to leave his wife Sana.

According to Alam’s statement to the police, the conflict escalated when Pooja insisted that he leave Sana and live with her. On the day of the murder, Pooja called Alam, demanding that he come to her immediately. Despite Alam explaining that his four-year-old son Jibral was ill and that he was at the Family Medicare Center in Masuri, Pooja grew furious and threatened to confront him at the hospital. Feeling cornered, Alam decided to end Pooja’s life.

Alam recounted that he picked up Pooja in his Santro car (DL-2CA-9934) near the hospital and drove towards the Dehra Ki Jhal area. During the drive, Pooja continued to argue with him. In a fit of rage and desperation, Alam strangled her with her scarf and later disposed of her body by throwing it into the Gangnahar canal.

The police, acting on Alam’s confession, are actively searching the canal to recover Pooja’s body. Meanwhile, Alam remains in custody as the investigation continues to uncover more details about this tragic and brutal crime.
