Idols of Goddess Kali and Lord Shiva beheaded [ Dinajpur , Bangladesh ]

On November 4, idols of Goddess Kali and Lord Shiva was beheaded from a puja mandap in Khamarpara village of Khansama Upazila of Dinajpur district, Bangladesh. As per the locals, the incident took place sometime at night.

Earlier instructions were given to all concerned about the immersion of the Kali idol after Kali Puja but it was kept behind.

Mandap committee member Sanjit Kumar Roy said, “The front door of the Tinshed Mandap was open. On Friday morning, local people told me that they could not see the head of the Vigraha. “I came to the mandap and saw the incident and informed the concerned people.”

Recently, idols of Goddess Durga were attacked before Dura Puja. The radicals did not leave out Goddess Kali’s idols as well.
