Hindu Girl Molested, Brother Stabbed, and Father Beaten for Protesting [Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh]

In a shocking incident from Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, a Hindu girl was molested by a group of men, leading to a violent attack on her family. The incident occurred on June 4th in the Janakganj police station area, where 59-year-old Balkishan Yadav, a grocery shop owner, and his family faced brutal assault.

The perpetrators, identified as Salman, Mubarik, Imran, and Sameer Khan, harassed the girl at her father’s grocery store in the Harikotasheer neighborhood. When she and her father protested, the men responded with violence, hurling abuses and assaulting both the girl and her father.

Upon hearing about the attack, Saurabh Yadav, the girl’s brother, rushed to the store to defend his family. In the ensuing confrontation, Saurabh was stabbed multiple times in the neck and face by the attackers. He is now in serious condition and receiving treatment at a local hospital. Both Balkishan and his daughter sustained minor injuries.

The police have arrested Salman and Imran while launching a manhunt for Mubarik and Sameer Khan, who remain at large. The accused, residents of the Muslim-dominated Apaganj region, have a history of such behavior. Notably, Sameer Khan had previously served jail time for harassing and abusing a Hindu female.

The incident has sparked outrage among local Hindu organizations. Vasant Godyale, a spokesperson for the Hindu Jagran Manch in Gwalior, condemned the attack and revealed that he had received death threats for protesting against the violence and demanding justice at the police station.

Authorities are under pressure to apprehend the remaining suspects and address the rising concerns over the safety of the Hindu community in the area. The local community and Hindu organizations continue to call for swift and stringent action against the perpetrators to ensure justice for the victims and restore peace in the region.
