Hindu Girl Exploited by Jihadi, Forced into Nikah [Budaun, Uttar Pradesh]

In Budaun’s Sadar Kotwali area, a case has been registered against a pharmacist’s son and his family for converting a Hindu girl to Islam and marrying her. The Muslim boy reportedly exploited the girl, making videos and photos of her, and then threatened to make them viral to coerce her into marriage. The police have registered the case and have begun searching for the accused.

The incident involves Diksha Sahu, a resident of Kabulpura Mohalla in the Sadar Kotwali area. On Tuesday, she filed a complaint stating that Azeem, the son of Shakir Ali, who lives in the same neighborhood, trapped her in a romantic relationship. He then made obscene videos and photos of her, threatening to make them viral, and sexually exploited her. He also threatened to kill her and her family, forcing her to marry him. Diksha revealed that Azeem’s father, Shakir Ali, is a pharmacist at the district hospital.

Diksha accused the family of forcing her to convert to Islam and listed several other serious allegations. She claimed they pressured her to cook and eat meat despite being vegetarian, forced her to wear Muslim attire, and took her to shrines to read Muslim texts. They made her abandon Hinduism and live according to Muslim customs. The family also physically assaulted her over her refusal to convert.

Diksha somehow escaped their clutches and reached the Sadar Kotwali police station. On Tuesday, she filed a case against Azeem, his father Shakir Ali, his mother Reshma Begum, his brother Nadeem, and his sister Syama. The police have registered the case and begun an investigation. They have stated that the accused will be arrested and sent to jail soon.
