Hindu fisherman, Tapan Das tied to a tree and beaten [ Sylhet, Bangladesh ]

A Hindu fisherman named Tapan Das was tied to a tree and beaten up to a pulp local Muslim extremists in Dharmapasha Upazila of Sunamganj district of Sylhet, Bangladesh.

Locals complained that the fishing net of Tapan Das was stolen by Md. Babul Mia’s people. Babul Mia is a resident of Quichhati. On hearing the news, Tapan Das went to inquire about the matter.

The attackers led by Babul Mia attacked Tapan Das, while he was tied up. As this was not enough, they further was subjected to inhuman torture.

The victim Tapan Das is currently undergoing treatment. Any sought of police action is yet to be observed.
