Hindu families in Sabarkantha are fleeing to save their lives [Gujarat, India]

After the violent attack on the Ram Navami procession in Vanzara Vaas of Himmatnagar on April 10, 2022, it was reported that one Hindu died, and 80 Hindu houses were attacked.

The Hindus of the nearby area, Sabarkantha are living in constant fear. They are selling their houses and running to save their lives.

One such traumatized Hindu resident of the area said, “We are 60 to 70 families, but there are 2,000 Muslim families here. When they attack, we can’t defend ourselves or face them. Because of this, we are fleeing from here.”

Another resident said that instead of providing security to the Hindus the police was arresting them.

The Hindus in nearby areas of Himmatnagar are cornered both by criminals and the administration. It is a shame if in the world’s largest democracy a community has to flee their homes, in fear of death.

It is not something new? But, the question persists, why is the world silent on this grave threat?
