Hajoi Massacre [ Assam, India]

Hajoi massacre was the killings of Bengali Hindu refugee settlers from East Pakistan in Hajoi in Hojai district in the Indian state of Assam. It took place in July 1993

More than 100 Hindus were killed in the massacre. The Muslims attacked Bengali Hindus and massacred them. The incident is said to be started with a tiff between a photo shop owner and a customer.

During the violence scores of temples were also vandalized.
