BHU faculty, Amresh Kumar insults Lord Ram [ Uttar Pradesh, India]

Amresh Kumar, an assistant professor of Visual Arts at Banaras Hindu University, superimposed his own picture on a painting of Lord Ram and His wife’s face on the picture of Goddess Sita. The painting was displayed in an exhibition organised in the Faculty of Visual Arts at BHU.

Kumar defended himself saying that this is not a big deal, because Lord Ram belongs to everyone. The professor has justified his act saying he and his family are great devotees of Lord Ram.

Such audacious insults to the Hindu deities are easily committed and the perpetrators continue with life as they did not cause a deliberate attack. Many Hindus sit mum to such horrible deed s and bear it regularly. This has emboldened such perpetrators as Kumar who become unapologetic towards their crimes.
