Bajrang Dal activist, Ayush Jadam attacked for supporting Nupur Sharma [ Madhya Pradesh, India]

On July 20, a Bajrang Dal activist, Ayush Jadam was attacked by Islamists for supporting Nupur Sharma. Ayush is a resident of Agar, Madhya Pradesh. Reportedly, Ayush was travelling on Ujjain Road when a group of 10-12 Islamists attacked him with sharp weapons.

Ayush sustained a deep injury on his head and got seven stitches. He is currently lodged in Ujjain Civil hospital for treatment and reportedly out of danger.

One of the victim’s friend filed the complaint. The CCTV footage of the incident was used to identify two of the attackers.

The Police Force has been deployed to maintain law and order in the area.

Since June 2022, the Islamists have murdered and threatened Hindus after former BJP spokesperson, Nupur Sharma quoted a line of Prophet Muhammad from Islamic religious texts.
