In a disturbing incident, Ayub ur Rehman, a 48-year-old man, was arrested for flashing his private parts to female students outside Jain College in the VV Puram area of Bengaluru. The arrest followed after a video of his actions went viral on social media.
According to a report by Asianet Suvarna news, Rehman had been targeting female students across various colleges in Bengaluru. On July 8th, he was caught on video sitting on his scooty near Jain College, unzipping his pants and exposing himself in public. When he noticed that an onlooker was recording him, Rehman fled the scene.
The vehicle’s registration number, “KA 03 J *209,” helped the police track him down. Upon analyzing CCTV footage, the police arrested Rehman within 24 hours of the incident. He is reportedly a tea seller by occupation.
The authorities have registered a case against Rehman for sexual harassment. During interrogation, Rehman claimed not to know the motive behind his actions. The police are continuing their investigation to determine if there are other incidents or victims related to Rehman’s perverse activities.
This arrest has sparked outrage and concern among the student community and parents, highlighting the need for increased safety measures around educational institutions.
