In the night of 16th November, in Haryana’s Nuh, a group of Hindu devotees, mostly women, reportedly came under attack from a nearby madrasa while going for the ‘Kuan Pujan’ ritual.
“Some women were headed for Kuan Pujan and we have received a complaint that some children from the madrasa pelted stones at them. People from both communities have gathered here in this regard. The police spoke to them and sent them back home. We are filing an FIR and the accused, the maulvi of the madrasa have been called and they will be rounded up immediately. We appeal to the people to maintain peace, and proper investigation will be conducted,” Narendra Singh Bijarniya, Superintendent of Police, Nuh, said.
The Navbharat Times reports that the incident has harmed over six ladies. According to reports, the attack also harmed a few kids. Haryana Tak reports that there is a greater police presence around the Jama Masjid in Nuh.
The women of the area were performing the Kuan Pujan ritual for the son of one Ram Avatar, who lives in ward No. 11 in Nuh. According to the reports, the women were on their way to the Kailash Mandir at approximately 8.30 pm when they were attacked with stones. After they left the temple, the accused started attacking them with stones once more. This caused tension in the area as members of the two communities came into direct contact.
Islamists assaulted a Hindu Brajmandal Jalabhishek Shobha Yatra on July 31 in the Muslim-dominated Nuh of Mewat. The accused, who were hidden in the Aravalli hills nearby, opened fire, pelted stones, and committed full-fledged vandalism against Hindus, killing at least six.
