The Congress-led Himachal Pradesh government organised a Sufi concert at Mahashivratri Festival. On February 19, Sufi singers Sabri brothers Aftab Sabri and Hashim Sabri sang songs praising Allah at the week-long International Shivratri Festival in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. The Chief Minister of the state, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu acted as the Chief Guest at the festival.
Apart from having songs to praise Allah, a singer from Bilaspur, Rakhi Gautam, sang a number of Bollywood songs including “Bahon mein chale aao”, “Ladka aankh maare”, “Saat samundar paar” and “Ishq di gali vich no entry” at the festival which was supposed to be dedicated to Lord Shiva and not the ministers of Congress and the Muslim community.
The “International Shivratri Mahotsav” was about “Allah hu” rather than “Om Namah Shivay”.
