In a viral social media post, Harsh Soni from Pune, Maharashtra, shared a distressing experience involving an Uber driver named Javed Pathan. Harsh reported that he was threatened and assaulted by Javed after cancelling an Uber cab booking.

According to Harsh, he cancelled the Uber Auto booking due to a previous negative experience with Javed. Despite his attempts to book another ride, Javed kept getting assigned, leading Harsh to cancel the booking multiple times. Following these cancellations, Javed reportedly followed Harsh about 100 meters from his house as he attempted to take a different vehicle. Javed then abused, threatened, and tried to assault him.

Harsh shared Javed’s auto number, MH12RP6408, and posted his photo on social media, tagging Pune Police and Uber India. His post quickly went viral as it was widely shared by others.

The following day, Uber India support responded to Harsh’s post, apologizing for the inconvenience. They assured him that necessary action had been taken and encouraged him to reach out if he had further questions.
