A shocking incident of violence erupted in the Fatehgarh police station area of Guna district, Madhya Pradesh, when a Hindu woman was brutally beaten and dragged by her hair over a land dispute. The incident, which was recorded by villagers and shared on social media, has sparked outrage and highlighted the extreme cruelty faced by the victim.
The conflict began between Deepchand Lodhi, a resident of Vishnupura village, and his neighbors Farid Khan, Raju, and Rafiq, who allegedly encroached on government land near Deepchand’s house. The disagreement quickly escalated into a physical confrontation.
During the altercation, Farid, Raju, and Rafiq attacked Deepchand Lodhi. When Deepchand’s wife, Ramwati Bai, intervened to protect him, the attackers turned their aggression towards her. Ramwati was dragged by her hair onto the main road and subjected to relentless beating while villagers stood by and filmed the attack instead of intervening.
The video of the assault has gone viral on social media, drawing widespread condemnation. Following the incident, the Fatehgarh police registered a case of simple assault against the accused. The incident underscores the ongoing tensions and violence associated with land disputes in the region.
This brutal attack over a piece of government land near Deepchand’s house has raised serious concerns about the safety and security of individuals involved in land disputes and the role of bystanders in such situations.
