Minor Hindu Girl Rescued from Forced Conversion and Marriage by Muslim Man [Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh]

In a harrowing incident from Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, a 16-year-old Hindu girl was allegedly lured, forcibly converted, and married by a man who concealed his true identity. The incident has sparked outrage and led to the arrest of the accused.

The victim, originally from Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, was living and working in Himachal Pradesh with her brother. She encountered Aman Idris, who falsely presented himself as a Hindu, wearing a sacred thread (kalawa) and applying a tilak on his forehead. Aman, hiding his true identity as a Muslim, managed to deceive the minor Hindu girl and eloped with her to Bareilly.

Upon reaching Bareilly, the girl discovered Aman’s true identity and learned that his real name was Idris. Aman and his father, also named Idris, allegedly forced the girl to convert to Islam, giving her the name Nazreen. Following the conversion, Aman married the girl and reportedly subjected her to repeated assaults and sexual abuse.

The victim managed to escape on July 13, 2024, and encountered members of Hindu nationalist organizations, who assisted her in reaching the police. They brought her case to the attention of the authorities, leading to Aman’s arrest. The girl’s story highlights the grave risks and challenges faced by individuals targeted in such deceptive practices.

This incident took place in Udaipur Jasratpur village, located in the Bithri police station area of Bareilly. The police have charged Aman with kidnapping, forced conversion, and rape. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend his father, who is also implicated in the crime.

The police, led by SP Dehat Mukesh Chandra Mishra, are investigating the case thoroughly. The swift action by law enforcement and the intervention of local activists played a crucial role in rescuing the girl and initiating legal proceedings against the accused.
