On the night of 5 October, radicalized young Muslim men attacked the Kali Mata temple located next to the Madan-Mohan temple. The incident took place in Chalia village of Barura upazila of Comilla district in Bangladesh.

It was a group of men but other than 2 the rest were successful to run away after the attack.
